Glengoyne 17 Years Old Batch #1 whisky review: A very classy dram with a polished and subtle sherry influence that still lets the natural fruitiness of the Glengoyne spirit shine through. 89/100

Balcones 3 Years Old Batch #2 Whisky Review: Hugely sweet, I was really surprised this was a single malt and not a bourbon from Balcones. A fantastic quality as always from Balcones, I fear tasting this reasonably blind that the Tequila cask influence was completely lost on me? 88/100
Cotswolds 3 Years Old Batch #1 whisky review: A very fresh expression, spicy, woody and tannic, a lovely zingy fruit sweetness. Young and sharp and a little too woody but shows great promise for what is being produced at the Cotswolds distillery, I’d certainly like to try more. 73/100
Bunnahabhain 11 Years Old Batch 5 whisky review: A rather frustrating Bunna, full of that delicious funky mustiness on the nose but just a little light on the palate and peppery in the finish that doesn’t really know what to do with itself. Still a classic Bunna so I still kinda like it. 84/100
Dailuaine 15 Years Old Batch 2 (That Boutique-Y Whisky Company) whisky review: Pleasing and fairly full in the palate, almost a meal in a glass – if that meal is pancakes for breakfast. A great example of a Dailuaine with very little sherry influence, I suspect refill ex-bourbon barrels here, presenting something a little different from more standard or official offerings. 86/100
Irish Single Malt 13 Years Old Batch #3 whisky review: Plenty of body, packed full of fresh fruit and cereals, just a touch to sour and oaky on the finish for me. Quite a summery dram. 83/100
Glenrothes 25 Years Old Batch 3 single malt Scotch whisky review: A wonderful expression full of tropical fruits and exotic spices. 86/100
Loch Lomond 19 Years Old Batch 3 single grain scotch whisky review: Very sweet and toffee’d with occasional solventy hints, even at 19 years old this carries a little grain whisky harshness around the edges. 82/100
Secret Distillery #2 15 Years Old single malt Scotch whisky review: Initially quite tannic and woody but with a huge body, once it has opened up there is plenty of juicy sweetness tempered by delicate spices. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Tawny Port matured or finished Glenmorangie. 85/100
Whisky Review: Mortlach 18 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company). Quite fruity and fresh with red apples and toffee apples, hints of smoked ham and sweet-cured bacon, plenty of malt but also floral and herbal in places too. 86/100
