Rich, complex and nutty a fantastic example of how peat and sherry really work well together. 89/100

A delicious sweetie shop dram thanks to the PX maturation, absolutely delightful. 85/100
A very drinkable expression full of vanilla and fruits and reasonably wood light, more tropical on the nose than the palate. 84/100
Glen Elgin 22 Years Old 1995 Celebration of the Cask whisky review: Zingy and fruity but with masses of vanilla and cream added, slightly sour but with a distinct latte coffee-like note. 86/100
Blair Athol 8 Years Old 2009 Fidra whisky review: Very young, spirity and hot, definite sherry influence present here (tasted blind to cask type) with dried fruits, blackcurrant and after a while hints of treacle. 73/100
Auchroisk 16 Years Old 1999 Strictly Limited whisky review: Another finely balanced expression – a little more spirit character present in this one despite it’s extra years of maturation over the 13 year old 2000 vintage comparator from the same bottler. On the nose a lot more woody but a little lacking in distinct ripened fruit flavours perhaps? 84/100
Auchroisk 13 Years Old 2000 Strictly Limited whisky review: Great poise and balance to this one, a touch of cask char/bitterness and light floury barley malt along with ripe mixed fruits, very drinkable. 83/100
Longmorn 23 Years Old 1991 Celebration of the Cask whisky review: an unusal old Longmorn, very fruity but also herbal and resinous wood influences from the cask, a real delight. 87/100
Dailuaine 4 Years Old 2012 Strictly Limited whisky review: Another ex-bourbon Dailuaine expression and this time young enough to reveal much more spirit character. Plenty of sulphur and vanilla combine to bestow a healthy dose of custard, hiding much of the unripe fruity characteristics still present in the spirit. 75/100
Glenrothes 2006 Celebration of the Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review: A very fruity, sweet and spiced sherry influence with hints of some of the more favourable flavours for me such as nut and chocolate. Plenty of spice and sweetness masks any potentially spirit nature and there is far too much going on to overlook the fact this is only 11 years old. In fact its youth helps here as it really is quite a lively character on the palate. 87/100
