Wood overboard but still some soft baked apple fruit and toffee/caramel notes too. Another fine example of fruit and oak balance from le Clos d’Orval. 87/100

Sweet and spicy, plenty of rum influence here and bourbon maturation too but in all this polished / boiled sweetness I was left wondering where the classic ‘Jura’ elements were that I usually love so much? 83/100
Another raw and spirit-led Mortlach expression and again in the absence of serious cask-maturation I’m left underwhelmed by this one. 76/100
Lovely, gently smoky and coastal elements with lots of honeyed soft fruits too, the perfect introduction to Bowmore’s core range. 84/100
Very drinkable and more influenced by the red wine than the French oak cask maturation. 85/100
Full bodied and full flavoured, very enjoyable for a 4 year old Bourbon and not overly sweet or corny. 80/100
A rather polished expression and quite sweet and estery with plenty of banana, a nice touch of liqourice and aniseed adds some depth to the flavour. 81/100
A relaxed and easy drinking bourbon, soft and sugary and full of vanillic oak wood. 80/100

Blind tasting – Oddly herbal and sweet, this has plenty of Japanese influence and reminded me of some of the Hakushu expressions. 86/100
