Sherry heavy with plenty of PX influences; rich fruit and spice. I was unable to detect much underlying spirit character here however as I feel the sherry-maturation obscures that perhaps, still super-drinkable. 84/100

Very pleasant, soft and light just as you’d expect from a Grain whiskey, a little hint of that spirity nature also give away the nature of the base spirit here. This has been well matured in ex-Bourbon and strikes a good balance making the end result very drinkable. 83/100
Salty and oily fish with a dash of lemon juice – not flavours I’m really looking for in a whisky. Whilst Terroir-driven whiskey may be a fantastical experiment/marketing hack to sell Waterford they seriously need to improve their output to tempt me into drinking it again. 66/100
My first introduction to Midleton Very Rare and very enjoyable it is. Combining elements of grain whiskey and pot still from Midleton distillery. The result is light and refreshing, fruity ditillate-led expression. 87/100
Lambay Whiskey Small Batch Blend Whisky Review: A little oily and buttery for my liking on the palate but carries a good sweetness and reasonable diversity of flavours. 80/100
Lambay Single Malt Whisky Review: A lovely dram, full of ‘green’ fruits, kiwi, banana and coconut, there are hints of tannic oak wood and woody sugars that along with some of these fruits may have developed from the Cognac cask finish? 83/100
Writers Tears Cask Strength 2018 Edition whisky review: An interesting foray into cask strength Irish Whisky. Approachable at presentation strength and just that little bit more flavourful and intense on the palate. Thankfully everything is soft and well presented here making this very drinkable and enjoyable. 85/100
Teeling 24 Years Old Vintage Reserve Collection whisky review: Superb, musty and woody on the nose the Sauternes finish has worked wonders here with a lovely woody and herbal honey with touches of grape, orange and pineapple, delicious. 87/100
Teeling Brabazon Bottling Series 1 whisky review: Great balanced sherry dram, not overtly sherried – I’m not sure I’d call this a monster?
Teeling Small Batch Whisky Review: Creamy and well balanced a very nice blend that hasn’t been over-sweetened by Rum cask finishing. 83/100
