Cameronbridge 21 Years Old 1997 James Eadie Whisky Review: Quite simple, oaky with plenty of vanilla and coconut, no surprise this was a single grain or that it was matured in a refill hogshead, still quite harsh and solventy for its age. 76/100

Caperdonich 22 Years Old Whisky Review: A real cake of a dram, there is some tropical fruit notes and plenty of tannic oaky spice which reveals its age. Coupled with that odd acidity and over tannic oak I can’t help but be reminded of mango balsamic vinegar. 91/100
Knockando 15 Years Old 1997 Whisky Review: Malty and floral, spicy and nutty, coffee, etc, this has it all but is perhaps a little too spiced for me. 82/100
Strathisla 18 Years Old 1997 Samaroli Whisky Review: Super fruity, delicate and floral, I would never have guessed a virgin oak cask. 89/100
Linkwood 18 Years Old 1997 Old Malt Cask Whisky Review: Still fairly basic with much spirit lead flavour akin to the 10 year old, some deeper flavours in here thanks to longer maturation but I’m still not loving this one. 82/100
Aultmore 16 Years old 1997 Berrys’ Whisky Review: Wow, melon filled goodness and unmistakable pear drops, super fruity. 87/100
Cragganmore 1997 Distillers Edition whisky review: A touch more citric spirit and musty Port cask than usual but still a great expression, loving the strawberry and lime combination in this expression and the general fluffy and jammy sweet qualities. 86/100
Linkwood 18 Years Old 1997 Distiller’s Art whisky review: Bursting with fresh fruit, reminded me a little of caramel apple granny or apple cakes then plenty of citurs zest and some oak wood adds a little depth to this really rather good Linkwood. 84/100
Bunnahbhain 20 Years Old 1997 Palo Cortado Finish whisky review: A delightful expression, plenty of sweet vanilla suggest plenty of ex-Bourbon maturation before the final Palo Cortado finish. I loved this plenty of buttery nut and coffee notes but without too much of the chocolate that can come from PX or occasionally Oloroso casks. An expression well-deserving of being the pinnacle of Distell’s 2018 limited releases. 93/100
BenRiach 20 Years Old 1997 Cask #4437 single malt scotch whisky review: A great mixture of dried orchard and fresh tropical fruit, old wood enlivened with some zesty gingery spices. A lovely example of a 20 year old BenRiach and full ex-Marsala wine cask maturation. 89/100
