Glenrothes 25 Years Old 1992 30.98 Bring on the dancers (46%, SMWS, Refill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 168 Bottles, 2017)

SMWS 30.98

SMWS 30.98 Bring on the dancers whisky review: A fairly true to form Glenrothes, I just noticed I pulled (finally) one of the same tasting notes as on the bottle in caramel apple granny! Diminishes only in the fact that the nose is the best part of this dram, drinking is nothing challenging and all very pleasing. A great example of an aged whisky from SMWS at a sensible price compared to OB’s but offering just as much. 86/100

The GlenDronach 26 Years Old 1992 Port Pipe #5896 (49.3%, OB, Batch 17, 828 Bottles, 2019)

The GlenDronach 26 Years Old 1992 Port Pipe #5896 whisky review: On reflection perhaps a little underwhelming, I had high hopes for this port matured expression but in the end it lacked a little something that sherry maturation delivers so well for GlenDronach. Undoubtedly a very well constructed whisky, not overly sweet and plenty of woody influence as you would expect after 26 years. A great comparator and on a par with the other two expressions. 87/100

Glenlivet 25 Years Old 1992 Give’N’Tell (51.4%, The Spirit Still, Bourbon Barrel, 256 Bottles, 2018)

The Spirit Still Give’N’Tell 25 Years Old 1992 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review: A wonderful floral nose hints at vanilla pastries and desserts, the palate is much livelier and fruitier and dry pine overcomes the drying and tannic finish, a whisky that takes you on a bit of a journey and epitomises the distillery from whence it came. 89/100
