A rather citric, juicy and fruity and a touch floral Blair Athol accented with woody oak from the rechar cask, quite unusual to sample Blair Athol naked of sherry cask influence.
This Tullibardine has a lovely mouthfeel, smooth then zesty, much of the sherry influence from the finish comes later on the palate. 85/100
Another super Ben Nevis bottling by Boutique-Y, not too much Nevis Funk in here but just enough to confirm its origin. Plenty of refill ex-bourbon notes though and generous fruits too. 87/100
Woody oak and tropical fruits prevail in this delicious old dram, I’m left searching a little bit for character here but maybe that’s just my distraction? 86/100
A mixture of tropical fruit and spiced coffee from this melange of casks. Complex and refreshingly light on the palate true to Fettercairn’s spirit. 85/100
Another classic cask strength rendition from Glendronach, a hint of apples and spirit here and there but mostly wonderful sherry cask maturation at its best. 85/100
Full of dark chocolate, rose and some well-integrated fruit flavours such as plum and fig, surprisingly well-balanced and not too sweet for a port maturation, with woody and spirit influences presented to perfection. 91/100

I found this a little challenging on the nose with dry leather and woody tannins initially but once it has breathed a fairly classic Dundee cake/Fruit cake nature arises from the ex-European oak cask maturation. 84/100
