New York Distilling Company

The earliest distilleries in Brooklyn date back to the 1700’s. During Prohibition there were over 50,000 illicit stills in New York City. Since Prohibition however, the ethereal perfumes of distillation have been largely absent…until now.

The New York Distilling Company builds on this dream by establishing one of the nation’s premiere craft distilleries.

The Whiskyphiles tasting notes:

  • new-york-distilling-company-that-boutiquey-rye-company-spirit New York Distilling Company 2 Year Old Rye Batch 3 (2019) - New York Distilling Company 2 Year Old Rye Batch 3 review: A spicy rye but with some real sweetness as well. A really loved that sticky fruity note redolent of maraschino cherries and dark chocolate, almost black forest gateaux just without the cream on this occasion. 84/100
  • Ragtime Rye (2018) - Ragtime Rye - American straight rye whiskey review; Very drinkable, cherry-filled rye with a lovely creamy texture followed by rye and oak wood spices. 80/100
