My tasting notes:
- Appearance Australian Muscat (11/20) oily, beaded tears and large legs.
- Nose Red fruits also yeasty/beery too, fireball gobstoppers, cherry lips and strawberry laces, cinnamon, plum sauce, tannic oak wood, cardamom and curry leaf
- Taste Warming, woodland berry jam on toasted rye bread, a lot less spicy than the nose suggests, more fizzy tannins, cherry cola flavoured chewing tobacco, raisins, cloves
- Finish Medium, woody and sweet with ginger and soft red fruits
- Overall The STR wine barrique has imparted plenty of colour and lots of sweet red fruit flavours and herbal nature into Lindores Abbey distillate here.
Score 81/100
