What I say
Sampled as part of #TheGlenturret tweet tasting hosted by Steve @TheWhiskyWire
My tasting notes:
- Appearance: Gin clear (0/20)
- Nose: Apples, lactic/raw milk and also some sticky malt extract, biscuits, lotus biscoff with cafe creme and custard creams, tinny note, tinned peaches
- Taste: Warming, slightly alcoholic, grassy cereals, malt, yeasty, doughy, brioche, some stone fruits these come to the fore after a good sploosh of water, peach & apricot
- Finish: Medium, stone fruits and toasted almonds.
Overall
Reminiscent of the process and aromas of the washbacks and mash tun, grassy cereals, doughy yeast and stone fruits.
