Water Of Life Society Tasting 14/10
Awards Tasting!
4/12/2014
Sadly I was unable to attend the Water of Life Society Awards tasting at the end of 2014 due to work commitments!
I have been reliably informed however that a grand tasting was had by all. That Tom has started a new career (or at least should have) as an auctioneer as he did a fine job in auctioning off all our bottle ends. The following whiskies were consumed:
Benromach 10 Years Old 100° Proof ~ 50% (Gordon & MacPhail)
Speyside-Glenlivet 18 Years Old 1995 – Small Batch ~ 62.8% (WM Cadenhead)
Littlemill 22 Years Old 1992 Small Batch ~ 53.7% (Wm Cadenhead)
Ben Nevis 22 Years Old 1992 – Small Batch ~ 53.5% (Wm Cadenhead)
Which if nothing else makes for a very alcoholic tasting!
Plus the 2014 WOLS Award winners were:
Best WOLS Tasting: Water Of Life Society Tasting 14/8 The greatness of grain (EWB) 13/11/2014
narrowly beating Water Of Life Society Tasting 14/7 Suntory 23/10/2014
Best Whisky at a WOLS tasting: Port Dundas 47 Years Old 1965 ~ 43.6% (Scott’s)
Best whisky Bar: Dagda
Best whisky shop: Royal Mile Whiskies
