Glenkinchie 2000 Distillers Edition Whisky Review: Strikes a nice balance between sweet and dry, some woody spices and a good texture help, not as boring as some Glenkinchie can be. 84/100

Longrow 7 Years Old 2000 Gaja Barolo whisky review: A superb expression, perhaps a touch spirity/alcoholic which belies its youth but a complete absence of spice means this mixture of smoke and red fruits is an absolute winner for me. 89/100
Ardmore 16 Years Old 2000 Old Particular Whisky Review: Another quite light dram from a refill barrel, perhaps tamed a little more and some better developed fruit flavours arising, a little spiced in places, what it gains in fruit from the 14 Year Old 2000 expression however it loses in peat/smoke influence. 83/100
Ardmore 14 Years Old 2000 Old Particular whisky review: Quite gentle and reserved with a nice dry minerality, overall lemon/vanilla and highland peat predominate, educational. 83/100
Tamnavulin 18 Years Old 2000 Vintage whisky review: A good mix of gentle and sweet Speyside character with heavy sherry maturation, in a similar vein to Aberlour or Macallan outputs. This is a great expression from a relatively sparse offering of official bottlings from Tamnavulin. 85/100
Auchroisk 13 Years Old 2000 Strictly Limited whisky review: Great poise and balance to this one, a touch of cask char/bitterness and light floury barley malt along with ripe mixed fruits, very drinkable. 83/100
Lagavulin 2000 Distillers Edition whisky review: Softer and less smoky both on the nose and palate than the 1999 vintage. More fruity in nature and much more vanilla influence. Slightly more sugary and nutty too. It is hard to ascribe why this is distinctly less smoky and slightly lighter in texture, however differences in the maturation/finishing casks more than justify the alterations in flavour profile, more fruit and nut than chocolate and tobacco. Still very pleasant. 84/100
Hazelburn 14 Years Old 2000 Rum Cask Whisky Review: Sweet and spiced, pleasant but not overly complex, a good solid drinker. 84/100
A great balance between distillate and sherry cask maturation, with fruits, spice and tannic wood. 86/100
