Allt-á-Bhainne whisky reviews

History:

Opened in 1975. Allt-á-Bhainne was purchased by Pernod Ricard in 2001 alongside Braeval, Benriach, Caperdonich and Glen Keith which were all subsequently silenced leading to the suggesting that the purchase was motivated by minimisation of competition. Allt-á-Bhainne was mothballed between 2002 and 2005, before restarting production on 27th May 2005. The majority of production at Allt-á-Bhainne is for Chivas Brothers blends and the spirit produced is not casked on site but shipped to a filling facility in Keith.
