Speyside No. 3 8 Years Old Batch 1 whisky review: Much discussion about the origins of this one took place with the overwhelming opinion being that this probably hailed from Glenrothes distillery. As TBWC have previously bottled & named Glenrothes I guessed Strathisla, I’ll guess we may never know which distillery this really comes from but still another great wee expression from them all the same. 83/100
A very enjoyable and accomplished mystery Speyside expression with a palate that is slightly thick with honey and syrup, a great single malt at the price! 84/100
Wow, wonderfully aged sherried Speyside dram, rich in lots of lovely spices and mixed with old oak wood qualities.
Fabulous on the nose, unfortunately on the palate this lacked the intensity of last years 28 year old expression and is rather more citric and creamy.
Some superb qualities from the aged tropical fruit medley to the masses of honey and beautifully complimentary spice from those ex-bourbon casks.

A very pleasant Speyside dram, lots of cereal and sweet fruits. There are some slightly oily and over-oaked elements but if anything that prevents this from becoming cloying. Again for the price the supermarkets brands have smashed it!

Surprisingly, even amazingly good! Hugely drinkable but incredibly cereal-y compared to most of the Speyside malts I have tasted and very full-bodied.
