Again another insight into unerderlying spirit character with masses of maltiness present from Glenrothes. Slightly less vanilla/wood/cask influence though this is a little younger too.
Very light and drinkable single grain balanced with American/ex-bourbon oak influence, soft, fruity and creamy.
A well aged Clavados with plenty of wood influence but kept fresh with a touch of zest and plenty of fruit, smooth and creamy on the palate.
A rather citric, juicy and fruity and a touch floral Blair Athol accented with woody oak from the rechar cask, quite unusual to sample Blair Athol naked of sherry cask influence.
A hint of Lindores Abbey florality peeks through here but most of this spirit reveals cask-led flavours, coastal, lime and peat perhaps even a Kildalton malt was previously in this cask?
My favourite of the tasting, despite being a larger container with reduced wood influence the sherry has really worked wonders here.
The STR wine barrique has imparted plenty of colour and lots of sweet red fruit flavours and herbal nature into Lindores Abbey distillate here.
An insight into Lindores Abbey distillate signature following 3 years in 1st fill ex-bourbon cask. Revealing floral and tropical fruit flavours.
Overtly woody and plenty of soft/baked fruit nature to this one, it is rather complex thanks to the fancy cask but still quite youthful with a tendency to become hot and spirity later on the palate. 82/100
Another expression packed full with fruit, nut and spice, these are starting to feel much more integrated though there is still a touch of a youthful spiced and vaporous nature towards the end. 85/100
