STARCHEFS PRESENTS ROBIN GILL’S ST PATRICK’S DAY DINING EXPERIENCE, SUPPORTED BY REDBREAST IRISH WHISKEY

St Patrick’s Day on March 17th will see brand new food platform, StarChefs release their second home dining experience. The four-course St Patrick’s Day meal has been created by celebrated Irish chef, Robin Gill, who is the talent behind five popular restaurants including The Bermondsey Larder, Darby’s and Birch Community. The launch announcement follows the sell-out success of StarChefs’ first release for Chinese New Year with Michelin starred chef, Andrew Wong. 

Available for nationwide delivery, the St Patrick’s Day box, which is being supported by Redbreast premium Irish whiskey, can be pre-ordered from the StarChefs website. The box will be available in limited numbers for delivery from Wednesday 17th – Saturday 20th March.  

Each box will include four courses of indulgent and refined comfort dishes designed to evoke nostalgia around Robin’s experiences of growing up in Ireland, and to celebrate the exceptional produce he takes pride in sourcing. 

Diners can expect to enjoy County Cork Gubbean & smoked haddock gougèresLondon-cured Secret Smokehouse salmon served with Robin’s soda bread, and wild Atlantic seaweed butter. The undoubtable star of the meal will be rich beef & bone marrow pie to share, topped with a luxurious croissant pastry, which comes with a cast iron skillet included, and is served with sides of Kerrygold butter mashed potato and pot-roast cabbage with kale crisps. A finale of Pump Street chocolate mousse with sea salt & Redbreast whiskey caramel will round off the occasion. 

Two drinks per person will also be included thanks to award-winning premium Irish whiskey, Redbreast: a Redbreast Old Fashioned cocktail, and a 60ml, neat measure of superior, 12 years old Redbreast Irish whiskey. 

To ensure that the event is a truly festive occasion, all diners will also have access to a unique Irish playlist created by Robin himself, can log on to a whiskey tasting tutorial between Robin and Redbreast’s ambassador, Ronan Collins, and will find fun, themed items included in their box. 

Speaking about the inspiration behind the menu, Robin said, “St Patrick’s Day is such an important event in the Irish calendar, and for me personally. We opened my first restaurant on St Patrick’s Day in 2013! After the last 12 months that everyone has had, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the occasion than to share an incredible meal with someone you love, bringing to life all those flavours of Ireland – a taste of my home.” 

Wine pairing packages and additional full-sized whiskies will also be available to purchase through Wanderlust Wine. Redbreast ambassador, Ronan Collins, commented, “St. Patrick’s Day is about sharing quality moments with friends and family and this exciting collaboration offers the opportunity to have the full St. Patrick’s Day experience at home with one of the best quality products Ireland has to offer, an award-winning, premium Irish whiskey.”
