New Whisky Releases: Week 9 2018
Balblair 1991 (bottled 2018) £120.92
Balblair 2000 (bottled 2017) £67.93
Bit pricey for a 10yo single cask but does carry the ‘bottled for LMDW’ tag which requires an added 25% profit margin. On this basis however it means these bottles aren’t flying off the shelf like the standard single cask bottlings. Giving you time to decide if you want it or not?
More great 25yo Longmorn
11yo cask strength Aberlour – not bad at this price.
Deerstalker 12 Year Old £34.80
Easily overlooked this bottle of Deerstalker single malt represents a distillery that normally sells its malt for blending and doesn’t have an official bottle (*ahem* Balmenach) thus this bottle approximates the ‘standard bottling’
Not just any Speyside but from The Speyside distillery (bottled officially as Spey) – this 18 year old single cask bottled at 48% represents great value-for-money from Deerstalker.
Not sure anyone drinks Macallan anymore but still a few collectors out there may be interested in this.
