Visit to Douglas Laing & Co Ltd.
On the 9th December 2014 I was invited along with Tom Thomson (@TomsWhisky) and Neil MacKinnon (@NeilMacKinnon1 ) from Toms Whisky Reviews to the Douglas Laing & Co Ltd. HQ in Glasgow. Chiefly to partake of their fine wares and generally be entertained by their brand ambassador Jan (@WhiskyJan), who bravely fended all our inquisition and various questions whilst doggedly pouring us through some of their latest offerings. Despite the weather – resulting in us turning up like drowned rats – we had a hugely enjoyable afternoon, and learnt a lot about the life of an Independent Bottler in the current whisky world.
Huge thanks also to Fred Laing and Cara Laing @DLaingWhisky for taking the time to accommodate and look after us during the particularly busy pre-Christmas period.
